History
Anthony J. Rinaldi, Jr. died of renal cell cancer in 2002 at the age of 32 after being diagnosed 19 months prior. A Pennsylvania non-profit corporation was formed on November 15, 2010 by his surviving brothers in his name to fulfill his desire to help children who have been or will be diagnosed with and/or suffer from cancer disease as well as and the families of children who have been or will be diagnosed with and/or suffer from cancer disease. The corporation received notice from the Internal Revenue Service on January 8, 2011 that the corporation was exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, effective November 15, 2010 and as such all donations received by donations are tax deductible. The corporation is also registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Charitable Organizations.
The corporation plans to raise funds for other 501(c)(3) organizations that seek a cure for cancer, care for or treat children suffering from cancer or help families of children suffering from cancer cope with both the financial burdens and emotional burdens of having a child suffer from the ravages of cancer disease, such as the American Cancer Society.
Mission
The corporation plans to hold an annual fund raising gala in Anthony J. Rinaldi, Jr.’s (Deceased) memory to attract donors to benefit the work other 501(c)(3) organizations that seek a cure for cancer, care for or treat children suffering from cancer or help families of children suffering from cancer cope with both the financial burdens and emotional burdens of having a child suffer from the ravages of cancer disease, such as the American Cancer Society. The corporation will solicit donations actively from the friends, people and other organizations who knew him and/or desire to contribute to the corporation to carry out its activities and works through out the year.
